Android Apps List

Here is a list of the apps that I have reviewed on the blog, please let me know if there are any that you have found that others might want to know about.  As I review more of the apps that I have found helpful in my speech therapy sessions I will continue to add more with the hope that these may help other SLP's and the parents of our clients who may not have access to iPads or other apple technologies.

  1. Thank you for putting together this blog!
I am an android-using mother of a 4yo who's in speech therapy. Nothing against i--stuff, but android is what we have out our house!

  2. Thank you! You and your child are exactly the people I was hoping to help. If there is ever an app that you need or if there is anything I can do to make the site better let me know. I want this to be as useful and helpful as possible!

  3. Wonderful list of great apps! My daughter loves to use Autism myVoice Communicator for android. She can tap on pictures and have it speak exactly what she wants to tell us. It has been extremely helpful for our family! I hope others might see it as well if you would like to add it.

    1. Thank you so much for the recommendation! It looks like a great app and I think for 2.99 it's a bargain if it works for your daughter and could certainly be helpful for others. I'll be sure to check it out and add it on the list!

  4. Hi Miriam,

I just came across your blog. A group of friends and I have built and AAC Android app (YouTalk AAC) as a senior project. We would love for you to review it! Works best of tablets but we just added support for smartphones! I hope its okay to post links here! Please have a TTS engine installed/configured! Thanks

    1. It looks great! I have a couple younger non-verbal kids right now and we've been searching for a simple to use AAC program that the parents can easily operate. I've downloaded it and I'll be testing it out next week. Thank you so much for your work!
